The minimum threshold for each of your items can be edited in your account settings. To access these settings, you can follow the steps below:
-
Set your Minimum Offer amount:
- Click on your profile picture in the top right corner -> “Settings” -> “Owned Items” -> “View Item” -> “Set Minimum Offer”.
- Or go directly to your item settings by using the following link (make sure you are signed in): https://therealest.com/account/owned-items-> “View Item” -> “Set Minimum Offer”.
-
(Optional) Check the "Accept Instant Buy" box:
- If you wish to publicly display a specific amount that you'd be willing to sell your item for, you can check the "Accept Instant Buy" box. That will make your item appear as an "Instant Buy" item with a fixed (public) price on the site, and buyers can immediately purchase the item from you rather than placing an offer which you need to accept. Note: When you enable this option, other users will no longer be able to place bids on your items; the "Instant Buy" amount in essence replaces the "Minimum Offer" amount.
By default, if you don't make any changes, the Minimum Offer amount will be set at 20% above the original sales price to help you offset the Partner & Verification Fee (18%), as well as part of the shipping costs associated with shipping your item back to The Realest for verification. Please note that depending on the dollar value of your item, 20% may not be enough to fully offset the shipping cost.
Once you have accepted the offer – or the Instant Buy has been made – the resale transaction continues to the next step
